Synochi LLC is a biotech company focused on botanical formulations. Our development team draws on the principles of Traditional Asian Medicine as well as practical experience to guide their work. Our current focus is on formulas that target various types of scarring. The improvement achieved by the use of each formula is established using controlled human clinical trials.
The Scar Spray is a complex biological extract developed to treat scarring of the skin. It is an all-natural cosmetic that is suspended in food-grade alcohol. A small study testing cosmetic improvements was completed with encouraging results. We are currently planning a larger clinical trial.
The oral preparation is a proprietary blend of herbal powders taken in capsule form. It is used concurrently with the scar spray. Formal studies are pending.
The stretch mark salve is a powdered herbal blend suspended in plant oils formulated to treat stretch marks. Formal studies are pending.
During the clinical study, the study participants received two different bottles with tinted cosmetic spray solutions. One contained the Synochi Scar Spray and the other a scented alcoholic solution that served as a placebo. Neither the study participant nor the physician knew which one was which.
The study participants applied the solutions twice daily for 6 months and both the physician and the participants filled out questionnaires about the scars. Additionally, the scars were photographed at each visit.
Figure 1: Synochi Scar Spray clinical trial SYNSS_0012, physician measurement results for color mismatch to surrounding tissue and scar vascularity questions. The blinded principal investigator physician (a licensed and board-certified plastic surgeon) answered the physician questionnaire concerning the scars on each breast at the beginning of the study and the last study visit 180 days later. Application of placebo cosmetic spray indicated in blue and application of Synochi Scar Spray indicated in pink. Statistics according to study hypothesis performed by Dr. Prabha Siddarth (UCLA), one sided t-test within application change
